Guys, I know it is discouraging to read those polls... SO DON"T DO IT!

You guys cannot even imagine how inaccurate they are!

I have worked on a few political campaigns, including the Kerry Campaign. From the very begging, professionals told us to not pay attention to polls; they are usually inaccurate. (Keep in mind these are people that have spent years doing what they do, and are extremely good at it.) Polls will tell you all kinds of things, most of them are not true, and in fact they turn out to be the complete opposite. It turned out I got all nervous for no reason at all. Or on the contrary, I would be laid back when I should have been working harder. I know I cannot really stress how much error is really in those polls... it is insane. But just think about it, in the two (most popular) polls alone, the complete opposite results are listed... why are they so different? ... Of course because of the conduction methods. And even on the website... they say how it is not conducted "scientifically" meaning it is not accurate, nonconclusive, and inconsistent. This is the same in any poll. And many professionals, regardless of what the topic; (politics, music, food, whatever else) do not pay attention to the polls....

The best advice I can give anyone; is to just not even look at those polls to begin with... do you really need the stress?

Of course this is not to say that you need to stop voting. All you can do is true your absolute hardest to give Chris as many votes as humanly possible. Make a goal, try to achieve it; I say AT LEAST 25 is a good start.

It really is not that hard; most every one has a few phones available to them... use all the phone that you can and keep hitting redial... as soon as you get a busy signal hang up and redial again and again and again... really it is not that difficult.

Cell phone are great also, even if you don't want to pay for text messages.. Then just use your house and cell at the same time... (I suggest keeping a piece of paper and pen around and keep a tally of how many times you vote until you reach your goal or more.)

I don't buy those of you who say you didn't get through AT ALL... (yes, it is difficult at times, but not impossible.)

Just don't expect Chris to win by coming to this web site, looking at his pictures, and saying how much you love him... believe it or not, you have to actually do some work.

That that is what is important; you did what you could.... I highly doubt that he will be off tonight... however I don't know if he can win against Taylor if it comes down that the final 2 are Chris and Taylor. (only because his fans are more consistent than us Chris fans, unfortunately) .. We really need to put in those vote to beat him!!

I wasn't being sarcastic honest!

I have had a look on some of the polls and then wished I hadn't! and I have got obsessed with voting on some on-line polls, it was my way of voting for him as I can't do the proper voting!!

Thanks for this. I sense that these polls are mostly just to get people talking and get them stirred up. Either way, with the exception of the one week I was in Hawaii and could not vote, I vote TIRELESSLY every week while voting is open. Redial is my best friend!

I am crossing my fingers for Chris as well that he will move on safely this week into the final three. I don't know if he will win, but if he doesn't it won't be from lack of effort on my part!

ColdXWar,

Thank you. I voted my butt off, and I know that as soon as the polls closed last night, it was not in my control any longer. It's a contest, that's it. Chris will prevail whether he continues on American Idol this week or not. We are a passionate bunch of fans...that is quite apparent. Let's just calm down and whatever happens is meant to be.
