The band members appear tight. As the cliché would go: like brothers. You could see it in how well they manage to anticipate each other’s answers and how they joke with each other. If you read last issue’s story on how a lot of rock musicians these days are nice guys, you would want to include Daughtry as a shining example of that growing movement of niceness. “We don’t do crazy parties or indulge in anything crazy,” Chris says. Paul is quick to add, “We mainly just chill on the bus, watch movies and just relax. We’re not really out to go nuts on the road."

Most of the members are married, with kids and missing their families while they are out on the road. “We’re all happily married men and we love our families. Most of the time we’re talking about our families while on the road and trying to find time to call and spend time with them,” Chris says. “I miss my family, man. I was hoping they could have come to Singapore with me.”

But if only I could have asked some of those Idol questions.
