Just saw the guys on TV

'Home' has gone up one to number 9 on the Rock Download charts, I can't tell you how enormous this is, and without promotion too!! Its so cool, I didn't even know we had this chart in the UK!! WHOOHOO!!!

I watched Criminal Minds on TV last night and 'Home' was played near the end of the show, I couldn't believe it! YEY!!!

I have been so lucky to hear or see the guys 3 times on TV in the last week, its just amazing!!!

I am not going coz it is a zillion hour flight - and I am not that ambitious.

I can never find anything about Daughtry on the Finnish sites but I found one clip on a Swedish_tv4 site.

In that clip the Swedish idols (contestants?) meet Chris. The clip have been uploaded 1st of December but actually they were in Sweden 26th of November.

- First some guy tells the well known facts: #4 in AI season 5, #1 at BB200, have sold more than 3 million records.

- A girl says something about how the audience knows all the lyrics and "what an experience". (Chris seem to like it - look at his nose!)

- Girl laughs at the paper where it says 11/26/07 Stuttgart, Sweden. Somebody doesn't know they are in Stockholm, Sweden and not in Stuttgart, Germany. "These Americans!" Chris doesn't care - geography sucks...

-Girl tells they have a big globe where they perform at the Swedish Idol. (she means their big building call Globen, where they can even play ice hockey; I know because Finland won gold medals there 1995 )

- In the end the girl says something about being #4, #1 or even #8 blablabla..

Before I saw this list, I told my family that I'm sure Daniel will be the first one to be voted off. He is not very good, not very charismatic, doesn't speak proper Finnish BUT he has a very good taste in music, doesn't he?

We Finns do like (hard and heavy!) rock and we have many good bands here. Even in the UK, in the BBC rock single list 10-20% of the songs are usually performed by Finnish bands. It's quite difficult for a foreign band to make it here - especially one with an American Idol stigma or one with poprock songs or ballads, no matter how talented they are. Maybe eventually, Daughtry will be accepted here - after their 10th multiplatinum album.

Oh dear!! Maybe Daniel will get better with such a wonderful song to sing, huh?

Things seem to be getting rock 'ier' over here in the UK too, so fingers crossed our guys will come over to Europe pretty soon.

OMG that Daniel who sang Over You at the Finnish Idol. He totally ruined the song, it sounded cheesy crap - the singer was bad, the band was bad and the arrangement had nothing to do with the original rock song. He was the first to be voted off. I knew it!

(There was a guy who sang the U2 song With Or Without You - he was good!)

Nobody ever uploaded it there, it was so bad! You would not like to see, believe me...


Our little lake was partly frozen in the morning. The winter is coming soon.

We had snow in the UK last week, it was quite shocking as it hasn't snowed in October in over 70 years.
Our area didn't get hit luckily (although the kids were disappointed), but as we had been down to London for the day we got caught up in the storm travelling home, it was quite hairy at times.
It is quite mild here now, but your right, winter is just around the corner.

You can hardly find any Finnish Idol videos on Youtube. They are taken off very quickly because there's a site where you can watch all the performances - if you pay for it.


The lake is grey, cold and depressing now. Sorry, no photos.
