Do they really need to have the American Idol finale? Taylor Hicks just might be the most easy to predict American Idol winner ever. Even Simon Cowell who has shown nothing but disdain for Taylor Hicks during most of the competition is now calling him the favorite to win. Nothing against Katharine McPhee, who did a phenomenal job with Somewhere Over The Rainbow, or against Elliott Yamin, who will always have Elvis night, but Taylor Hicks all but has this one in the bag.
Taylor Hicks won American Idol 5 on the night that Chris Daughtry went home. Taylor’s expression on that night showed the same surprise that everyone else showed, but it had to be running through his mind that he just won the competition. When Taylor Hicks does claim the title, he owes a dinner out to Elliott Yamin and Katharine McPhee’s fans. He owes it to Elliott for refusing to give up and leaping ahead of Chris Daughtry with two incredible performances, and he owes it to Katharine McPhee fans who kept her in the competition despite the fact that she messed up her lyrics.

I really wish that Kat would win purely because she was actually shocked when Chris got the boot, unlike FAKE, IMPERSONATING, EVIL, INSINCERE TAYLOR HICKS!
We can only hope that, by some miracle, Kat wins and then that FAKE smile will be wiped of Hicks face.
I mean come on, we don't need a Taylor Hicks on the music scene, we need a phenomenal singer like Kat with her Over THe Rainbow greatness!

Tayor is fun, but since Chris is off the show I don't even bother. Chris is the only one I have ever really liked. As a matter of fact, he is the first person I ever voted for. I know I will be buying his CD's .

I think the whole thing is a set up. I think at the end it will be Katherine. Why? Because she is marketable unlike Taylor and Elliot. We don't see or actually know the votes of each contestant. We live off of what Ryan tells us. Which is bull there is no way we have an knowledge of the true results. There are articles about this. The whole thing is fixed. Nigel and Simon are making alot of money by fooling us and it is working. Katherine has the image to sell... in their eyes. But like others, maybe one album but Chris will be around for a long time......
but because he refused to compromise is why Chris was eliminated... It had nothing to do with us fans voting in. They just want us to believe that so we would vote harder and they would get the ratings and money.......
My advise - protest just like our ancestors did, through the tea in the harbor. America start a new show and let true Americans run it....and run the British out!

I agree. Taylor deserves to go to the finals because he has not been in the bottom 2 or 3 this whole compition. Kat should of went home instead of Chris and She knew that....everyone knew that! If chris wasen't voted off I predicted that the two final people were Chris and Taylor! I hope all goes well!

Which i commend him for cuz he's not no KISS ASS like others that will remain Nameless - TAYLOR - They said that Chris was actually kicked off and not voted off by the fans !! IMHO I think that this years Idol has been the most intense.. Chris has added a talent that has never been entered into American Idol before.. I do NOT believe that either Taylor Or Katharine deserve to be where they are.. I was so mad when I heard Elliott got voted off because he was someone who could sing and not look like he was convulsing or having sex with themselves.. *cough* But AI is all about drama... and Taylor is dramatic as is Katharine but neither of them will amount to anything.. Chris, however, will go on to sell millions of cd's and tour the world over.. he will be alright!!

Yes, that's just what AI needs (and this country). Some chick who can stand there and sing and be completely non entertaining. I get tired of her "I'm so sweet act". You call Hicks fake, try her. Out of the three, I would have wanted Elliot to win. If Kat wins, it'll be an embarrasment. I mean Carrie Underwood, the girl's got chops. Fantasia Barino, has a cleverly distinct voice. Kelly, is well, Kelly. But Kat? There's nothing remotely remarkable about her voice. It's simply
okay. There are tons of
okay singers in the world. And frankly, they aren't very entertaining.

Chris won american idol a long time ago in my eyes. He was robbed of it. I think american idol is fixed. God forbid they let a rocker win. Chris outsang every contestant from day one. BUT GO Taylor. He is th eonly won worthy of the American idol title. Katherine is a dime a dozen with her voice and she is also all over with her voice. she still has not found it yet. CHRIS BEEN FOUND IT!!!!!!!!
I cannot wiat to buy Chris Daughtry's CD. I miss hearing him sing. I dont even want to watch anymore.

The music did die the day Chris got voted off. At times I think the whole thing is rigged, but then again, if Chris had won, I wouldnt be thinking that way. But Simon first said in the auditions that he did not think the judges would ever allow Taylor into the top 12. And here he is in the finale. I dont get it!!! How do we REALLY know what the vote count is, or if it is even being tallied correctly??? I cant get through most of the time, could that have something to do with why certain hopefuls (ie. CHRIS) are not making it the next round? The fans are there, but arent able to cast their votes!
I do agree that Kat has a great voice, and being that Chris is no longer, I would like to see Kat take the title, but I also have a funny feeling that Taylor is gonna win it. I dont think that Taylor is AI material, nor would I ever buy one of his records, but his ridiculous moves and antics make him likeable to the public and entertaining, yet sometimes torcherous to watch. Even if he does win, I dont think his career will make it futher than a Vegas style performer.

Here is my guess...because Taylor already has such a huge fan base (just as Clay Aiken) they will choose Kat to win because she is more top 40 style. They know Taylor will sell millions of records just due to his dedicated fans....just like the Ruben vs Clay scenario. That way, AI gets the best of both worlds....just a hunch.

If the whole thing is rigged, then that sounds right. But lets face it, Taylor looks like an idiot up there half the time. If he would concentrate more on his vocals and less on the dancing, he might be able to make a career for himself.

This is just my thoughts here but it seems like this whole time they were "gearing up" for Taylor to win this. I mean he's different for one, but what gets me is that last weeks result show...the day CHRIS WAS ROBBED, they gave him extra air time to sing "Jailhouse Rock" again. Second, isn't it funny that for how many weeks Simon totally disses him, calls him "ridiculous" and tells him that he's drunk and all that then this week he thinks he's so awesome?? What is up with that?? Now he is predicting him to win it? Something is definitely fishy here.....

Yep, and just so happens Rebecca Romijn has to go and request that goofy Jailhouse Rock ....why put us through the misery again. So, if Taylor doesn't win his fans should really be upset....on Dial Idol every week he is so far ahead of the other contestants...33% tie, yeah right.

Yeah, Dial Idol has Taylor on the top EVERY week....way ahead of the others. I don't have anything against Taylor, I do like him very much and hope he wins but it's just not right to give him extra time. That 33% crap is exactly that...CRAP!
