American Idol castoff Chris Daughtry visited the TV Guide offices on Tuesday to make the ladies swoon, sign autographs for ''friends'' and ''moms,'' and update us on his career plans -- as much as he could, anyway.
Alluding to legal particulars that prevent contestants from inking recording contracts until Idol's summer tour is over, Chris said he will ''probably not'' make any announcement until then.
Besides, ''Being a family man, I need to make the right decision,'' says the singer, who at the very least has been invited to join the rock band Fuel. ``I don't want to jump on the first thing that comes along just because it's there. Not to mention that I can't right now.''
Then, perusing TV Guide's Idol cover story, Chris had to comment on a photo of him receiving the bad word from Ryan Seacrest last Wednesday night. ''You can see what I'm thinking,'' he chuckled ...source
