Video of Chris' father-in-law
Enjoy!
(call me crazy - or bored - I transcribed the entire interview for those that can't open the video. It is rambled together, just like he said it)
"We were having a birthday party for his son, Griffin, over at our house and he came walking up the driveway with his guitar in hand, I asked my wife what was going on, she said "Chris can sing". We sat on my back porch and he started to play and I was just amazed. What you see from Chris is how he really is, he's just humble and he cares about everybody, he'd give you the shirt off his back...great father...a couple of years ago he started doing theses drawings for our Grandson, his son, Griffin you know and decorated him up at Halloween, just all this wild makeup. I asked Griffin who did it, and he said "Daddy". Griffin's into action heros, he'd draw the action heros for him, he'd paint the walls in his bedroom for him with all the action figures and stuff. It was really cool. I had taken his son Griffin the other day, we were going to play ball in the backyard, and stopped at a sporting goods store to get a baseball for him, and a couple of the young cashiers, we started talking about American Idol. They met Griffin, he's only seven, they asked him for an autograph. So they had him autographing baseballs for them...you know, he had his head down a little bit and a big smile on his face. He told me afterwards, he told me, "Papa, I don't think I like signing autographs, next time I'll do a better job at it".
