I did not watch, but my wife did. She said that it was nothing special, and the two new songs written for the show were awful. Kat chose songs that she has sang recently, so they semed like repeats. She thought that Taylor was better overall. I'm not sorry I missed it.

I didn't watch it when it came on, but TIVO is still set to record it. Hubby wanted to watch when he got home from work, so... I had to suffer through. I refused to watch Kat (she just makes me sick) so I fast forwarded through her. Taylor was Taylor, OK but in not even close to Chris.

My main thought was this... The song Taylor sang at the end, which will be his first single was ok for Taylor, but I wonder... Would Chris have had to do the same song had he been there instead of Taylor last night. If so I am so very glad Chris was not there. The song sucked and would definately not have suited Chris.

Yes, it's a blessing that Chris is not locked inside AI's box.

I did watch it (only because Chris was to perform with LIVE) and I must admit it was pretty entertaining. The awards were funny and the artists they had performing with and without the Idols were great. I didn't really enjoy when the 12 contestants sang together though...some of them really annoy me...but overall they were OK.

The annoucement of Taylor winning was uneventful in my opinion. Prince performing was nice, but you KNOW he didn't want to do it, so that kind of ruined it.

Overall it was alright.

I thought the show was great last nite - Watched it just for chris's performance w/ Live which was Awesome !! It was no surprise to anyone that they announced Taylor as the winner - certaintly not to me !! The Highlite of the nite had to be Prince actually being there - he looked great and sounded even better - Im also a big Prince Fan so it was great!! Im just so Glad that Chris didn't win this thing - That song that Taylor is releasing as a single - SUCKS!! lol - and could never see Chris singin something like that !! So it turned out okay for our boy Chris !!
