I just have to say i am a HUGE LIVE fan that grew up with the guys in York, PA. This was such a great performance by both Chris and the band. I was just floored. Can't wait for the video.

I grew up and live in central PA and have been a big fan of Live. I agree, they were both awesome and think it's cool that Live would sing with Chris. I bet they realize he is going to be big.

As a huge fan living in London, England, I just want to say thanks for posting the videos-- it's the only way I can enjoy following my favourite AI!

I just have one question: Has the lead singer of Live always looked like that, or did he shave his head to look like Chris?

I've never really listened to Live before, so I don't know a lot about them, but OH MY GOD Chris was AMAZING!!!! American Idol really dropped the ball on this one; now they have to promote a Vegas LOUNGE ACT as their new singer. *snickers*

Does anyone else think that the songs the AI writers come up with are exceptionally cheesy?

The stuff Chris was posing with in the end (I am assuming back stage) is that some stuff that was part of a gift 'bag' for the idols? If so wondering how much it was worth.

To the question about Live's lead singer, outside of their very first album more than 10 years ago, his hair or lack thereof has pretty much been like that the whole time. Their website is www.friendsoflive.com. Some really good albums. My wife actually claimed that early on in the Idol competition, Chris sounded like Ed from Live. Never put that one together.

I was very disappointed with Chris' performance last night. I wanted the lead singer for Live to just shut up so I could hear Chris. It was not like the other performances where you could hear the Idol contestant. I wanted to cry. I was also in shock when I saw Clay Aiken looking totally different. I also wanted to hear Kellie Pickler sing a song that wasn't with all the other girls. Oh well I am glad that it is over. I wish I could go to the AI tour but it is way too expensive for me.

I agree that the first time I heard Chris and Live perform together it sounded as if you were unable to hear Chris's voice over Ed's. HOWEVER, after I watched it a couple more times that was not the case at all. Chris is just so good and he sounds a lot like Ed which makes it seem as if you can't hear Chris when actually his voice is pretty dominant in the song. I love Live almost as much as I love Chris and have seen them in concert for the past 14 years so I'm sorry but I can't say anything negative about them. They both looked hot as hell and I'm just thrilled got to perform with them at all.

I've been hearing a bit of Taylor's song being promoted, and I think it's cheesier than Kelly Clarkson's finale song!! I didn't think that was possible!!! Jeez, AI, get some new songwriters; that was horrendous!!

I have heard some of Live's music in the past and I like it, I was not a huge fan (I am Incubus obssesed!) but they are good. The thing for me was no matter what I thought of the actual performance, I was still teary eyed because Chris got to sing on front of 30,000+ people with his favorite band and he was humbled. I don't care what people say about Chris being pompous. If they look at him while he was singing with them you can tell, he is not. He had tears welling in his eyes.

To be honest, the finale was a mess. Not the songs the idols sang together, but with the guest performers. And Prince, forget it. I heard Ryan's interview after the show. Now THAT'S an arrogant pompous DIVA! (Prince)

first off - i'm new here but i am very impressed with the amount of information and media, as well as how nicely everything seems to be organized! i was sent here when i asked elsewhere about downloads of chris' performances from AI. i'm on dialup and can never view streaming clips online, so i have to seek out actual downloads. i cannot tell you how appreciative i am to find everything that is available here!

however, i cannot find these clips from the finale, as quoted below - the link simply takes me to the index/main page. if they have been moved or are no longer available here, i would love if someone could point me in the direction to find them!
