You would think that Fox News would have the best coverage of all the news media networks. I have PIP'ed every one of them ....except I did miss Fox & Friends this morning....but so far MSNBC has had far more coverage of the American Idol Show from last night than any others I have found....(If I'm wrong...let me know)...But in case you missed it...In transition for the 2:00 pm (EST) , Donna Gregory, newscaster, made this statement, when asked about the show...:

"Well, after Chris Daughtry was voted off, I thought all America would shave their heads in protest and quit watching, but........."

I was let down by anything I have seen Chris do in interviews as well as his performance with Live. I also thought the whole production certainly did not highlight him as much as they did others and none of the songs the groups did favored his style of music and actually seemed to tone down his voice abilities altogether.

Yet, I must say the show as a whole is probably one of the greatest entertainment shows I have ever watched in my life. The show just blew me away. I loved Kathryn and MeatLoaf together that was an awesome performance. Kathryn entire performance outranked Taylor's throughout the show. The greatest moment was when Clay Aiken came out and surprised his impersonator...that was adorable. Just wished they could have given Chris and Ace a duet to do to highlight their friendship and bonding instead of giving that moment to the Cowboys...although I did like that segment too.

It was torture watching AI last night. I only did it to catch glimpses of Chris, who by the way, was given very little solo time, if any. I mean Dione Warwick?? What are they thinking? Really cheesy show. Thank God Chris did not win it, for his own sake!

I agree about the cheeseiness of the show. I enjoyed Prince's performance (he was smart to perform without any of the Idols), but the rest was just so syrupy sweet it was gross. Chris did probably do himself a favor by having limited involvement. (And can you imagine him singing that horrid Dirty Dancing song like they made Katherine and Taylor do for their final duet? NEVER!!!) I was disappointed that Chris was singing with Ed from LIVE, instead of solo, but apparently the two singers were ok with it so whatever. I thought the twin bald heads was a little much, almost making Chris seem like he has TOO much of a case of idol worship for Ed. Anyways, I'm looking forward to Idol being done with and Chris moving on.

I did not really enjoy the show much. Sad to say, I enjoyed the contestants that have been voted off much more than the top 2.

Chris was the highlight. Didn't see enough of him, though.

I did like the Dione Warwick part because I'm 45 and she was pretty big when I was in my teens and younger. Showing my age I guess. But for the most part, the show was not worth my time except for Chris.

Overall the show was above average. These are my moments of the show....

Most Heartfelt - when Mom introduced for her son "Ladies & Gentleman, my boy Elliot Yamin."

Most Exciting - Chris singing with LIVE...I was just happy to

Most Adorable - When Clay appeared & Michael was like going to have a massive heart attack...true fan

Best Outfit - Got to be Chris in white though the black formal is a second close.

Best Tranformation - Clay (never saw that coming)...good or bad, I leave it up to you but I thought it was time Clay has some kind of transformation.

Best Performance Moment - Chris & Bucky dueting & Chris tapping the floor studly ... loved that performance

Most Amusing/Funny - Kellie trying to eat the escargot but turn around to spit into the serviette & threw it under her chair. I think Wolfgang later asked what she has on the floor. I understand her feelings.

Most subdued/shortchanged - Chris singing with Kevin & Ace, what's the song? About New York City..its like I'm writing for Chris to take off & before I knew it the eagle has landed.

So, after all our anticipation, Chris was subdued in most of his appearances. That's why we feel dissapointed for most part of the show? I actually thought he was class act - his star attraction was definitely present yet he was not a show-off or push-over.

Not sure if anyone posted this video link from TMZ - Chris was briefly jamming with a street performer while waiting for limo with Deanna after the show.
