The Idols Invade the ET Set

The "American Idol" bubble has burst with the naming of TAYLOR HICKS as the new "Idol," so now the Final 10 will be leaving Hollywood and heading out across the U.S. The Pop Tartsâ„¢ Presents American Idols Live Tour, scheduled for a record-breaking 60 cities, begins on July 5 in Manchester, NH at the Verizon Wireless Arena and winds down on September 24 in Wilkes-Barre, PA at the Wachovia Center.

But first, the entire gang -- ACE YOUNG, BUCKY COVINGTON, CHRIS DAUGHTRY, KATHARINE McPHEE, KELLIE PICKLER, KEVIN COVAIS, LISA TUCKER, MANDISA, MELISSA McGHEE, PARIS BENNETT and this year's "Idol" -- visit the ET set and give viewers a sample of what they have to look forward to at the concert dates.

"My first time seeing myself on the CD cover, a little girl came up and said, 'Can you sign my picture?' I was, 'Whoa, I haven't even seen that picture.' It is crazy because we have a CD in the stores. Now people are going to hear us not [just] on TV," Paris tells Mary.

"All the guys are on one bus; all the girls on the next. I am looking forward to it. We have all made friends with each other. I don't know if we will be able to say that come September," Taylor jokes about the amount of time the Final 10 will be in close quarters.

So how have their lives changed since being swept up in the "Idol" whirlwind?

"My bills are behind," Bucky jokes. "Everthing has changed for the better. You can't exactly hop into Wal-Mart anymore."

And second-place Kat responds, "It has changed in the sense that I am really busy. Also, you can't walk down the street without being noticed."

As for Mandisa, she is still waiting for RUBEN STUDDARD to phone. "Ruben still hasn't called me," she admits. "America is ready for an American Idol romance!"

Hey All, I saw them on ET ! Just Curious where was Elliot??

Well, I saw it and it was so lame... they focused on Kat and Taylor... but just seeing Chris's face made it worth it! Elliot had a prior engagement and was unable to make it, but both he and his mother are fine. And what a cheesy song!

Did anyone notice, when the host asked kat...How has this changed your life? She hyme hauled around the question, by saying....we don't have much time and were always busy.....blah, blah, blah. My man Chris jumps in and says something to the effect.........She asked... How this has changed YOUR life! I was like, you go boy! It amazes me, she talks alot of shit for someone who never says anything! I'm glad Chris realized it.

I noticed that too...that was funny...she really did not have an answer....DUH!!!...

Yep. I caught all of the above too. Chris is very intelligent(which we knew already). When Mary Hart asked " what has Taylor done to embarrass you? " or something to that effect, Chris was the only one to immediately respond: "He doesn't embarrass us, he just keeps us laughing." And yes, I liked how Chris redirected that question to Kat alot! What is her problem anyway? I also liked when Paris quipped that having the guys and girls on separate buses :"on the girls bus : there would be a CAT FIGHT"---Kat bristled at that. Something about that Kat I really don't like.

Anyway, it was a very cheesy song and poor Chris, having to fulfill this awful contractual obligation. It's gonna be a long summer for him.

sadly... i didnt see this... i wouldve enjoed Kat's pain haha ... i've heard she's a royal pain... and she just looks it... i just get that from her, idk why. but anyways, I SO wish i wouldve saw this interview and yes, it is gonna be a painful summer for Chris

Oh my, to be absolutely honest, I started dying of laughter when he said it. I'm like, "Yeah! You lay it down on her Chris... old school." But then I re-thought what I had said and found the sexually innuendo within that sentence and then out loud went, "Holy Gees! Chris! I'm so sorry!"

And then I realized he wasn't in my basement but was really on television. So, I hung my head in shame, but then laughed at myself and how stupid everyone thinks Kat is. It was awesome.

Yeah, I thought the whole thing was pretty contrived and cheesy. Always good to see Chris though! Did anyone else think he looked a bit uncomfortable there in the background?

I watched that episode of ET just to catch a glimpse of Chris (WAHHH!!! Chris I love you)
But anyway, he didn't really say much though I agree I loved how he butt in when it was so obvious Kat was going nowhere! My God! Does she go off topic the same way she goes off key when she sings??? Hehe...sorry to all Kat lovers but it's true
They looked and sounded so stupid singing the ET theme song you know going "Tenenenenenenenenenne...." and stuff like that like some idiots! Ugh! No wonder Chris looked uncomfortable! I mean who loves singing like a broken record on international television?
Anyway, Chris was great! Smart as usual!
My mom laughed when she saw me watching and said what's the big deal when Chris was just like backup to Kat and Taylor like the rest of them!!
Ugh! He deserved to win that thing! AI sucks big time!

heyy i caught a lil of it but i noticed chris wa kinda just there.. int he bakk n not bein focused on so i shut it off lol is there a vid ne where? i no othes r askin ..so im guesin there isnt?
