Kelly Clarkson may be the most popular American Idol to date, but these days, fans are down with Chris Daughtry.

Announcing Monday that Clarkson has received "superstar status" as the all-time PC screen queen, ScreenSavers.com also reported that Daughtry is the hands-down favorite screensaver download of the current troop of pop-star hopefuls. And that, the site claims in a press release, gives the follicly challenged singer the edge.


Daughtry's mug has been taking up space on fans' desktops at twice the rate of his fellow season-five contestants. Based on the number of search requests for each finalist in the past week, ScreenSavers.com predicts that Elliott Yamin, who has narrowly escaped elimination the last several weeks, would be next, and they were correct...Sorry i didnt mean to post twice
