im obviously out of the loop but i think i read somewhere that he did refuse them.... is this true? so what's now the plan for our guy?

No, he said that during his homecoming, he signed a record deal with Bmg rca Records i think..

Ya hes has turned it down and he says he plans on doing stuff him self CHRIS DAUGHTRY ONLY no band no nothing just him self look foward to hereing his album in the middle or late of 2007

Welcome back! Hope you are doing fine. If you download the Fox8 newscasts from Chris' homecoming, they have him actually announcing "I'm not signing with Fuel". Good choice, but I'd follow this guy no matter what.

He hasn't said he's going solo; in fact, I heard he said he'd prefer to stay with a band, so I think he'll either stay with AE or try to pull together a good backup band to showcase his incredible vocals. He's just not taking the Fuel offer.

Yes, he did refuse Fuel. But, he did not state that he was going solo. There is a post about this. Actually, I think there are several posts about this.

I think Chris did the right thing by refusing Fuel... I don't mean to underestimate the band, but I do believe that Chris will be better on his own...

I just think he needs to stick with AE, that would be kinda bad to make it and leave the ones that helped him develope behind. Either way im waiting for his darn cd to come out already.
