Don't know if anyone's seen this yet but I'll post the link just in case. I actually did meet Robin (his ex girlfriend). The journalist (Amy) introduced us because she was interviewing me since I traveled so far to see him. (I didn't get put in the article *sniff sniff*. But Robin told me that he used to have a "rat tail" back in the day and she wished that she would have saved all of the letters he wrote her back then.

Thanks for the article. It was great to know that his ex-girlfriend dropped him because he was so nice. He hasn't change, he is still nice. Good for him and great for all of his fans.

Thanks so much for posting this. Can you imagine that a middle-school ex dumped him "for being too NICE!" I tell you I can barely stand any more!!!!!! The more I read of and about him, the more I see pics of him, the more I listen to him sing: Oh LORDY LORDY LORDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My head is not my only body part that's shaking right now. . .
Meesh
Thanks for sharing.....In Middle School you obviously are too young to understand why it is so wrong to let a great opportunity pass you by....I would not have dumped him for being "too nice"...you kidding me? I would have known he was a keeper. Deanna is obviously the smart one ;-)
..kArEn..
kudos to Deanna for making a smart pick!

i would've killed myself if i was the ex girlfriend. passing an opportunity like that?! i would've married him after the HS graduation. hahaha.... wink.gif

OK, let's all take a step back for a second here.

Being boyfriend-girlfriend in the 6th grade hardly qualifies someone as an "ex-" ... they were kids! probably adorable ones, and they share a fond childhood memory.

I mean, come on, I'm still friends with a guy with whom i was boyfriend-girlfriend in the 8th grade (a very loooooong time ago) but I never think of him as an "ex" the way I do about other men I dated more seriously as an adult.

So lets all lay off the "oh how dumb was she" hooey. Can any one of us claim to have made a single wise, grownup decision when they were 12? Hmm??
