did anyone see the new ford commercial with taylor hicks.....the only thing that i could think of while watching was........how kick a** it would be if chris had won and if he did the commercial! think about the crazy new rock and roll way chris could recreate the image of ford!---makes me sad.....oh, and taylor on the cover of most eligable bachelors.......so not better then jake gyllenhal or wentworth miller!

I haven't seen the whole commercial, but I did see clips of him making it. Same old jerky moves! I agree. I think Chris' image and style would have far outclassed Taylor's presentation and would have moved Ford's commercials to the forefront.

People magazine "Hottest Bachelors" is really ridiculous if they put Taytay as being hotter than the Prison Break actor who my opinion is the sexiest bachelor. Ace is also hotter than Taytay. What is People magazine thinking. Both my sister and husband laughed at the notion of Tay even being hot. He is NOT.

When I saw this commerical, my first thought was - "If Chris was doing this the Fords would be flying out of the dealerships!" Taylor seems to be a nice guy but his voice is just not strong enough.

Hey.. I drive a Focus, don't diss Ford!! They just have poor taste in spokespeople. lol. j/k. But I am SO sick of seeing that commercial. They play it way too much. I saw it 3 times while watching a show last night, all on the same channel during the same show. That's uncalled for.

It would be WAY better if it was Chris. And I agree that Wentworth Miller is a true hottie. I don't watch his show, but I have drooled over him in TV Guide.

Chris may have done a better job at the commerical but he's probably glad he didn't have to do another one! He probably can't wait till he can do his own thing after the tour. saw the commercial last night a couple times....
the concept and execution was awful and Taylor's spastic performance didn't help.... I was glad to see the pictures of the cars come on for relief !
Of course if Chris did it, you'd probably never even notice the cars..... maybe if Chris autographed every steering wheel... then they'd sell!

I haven't seen the Ford commercial yet but one of my online buddies who lives in CA has and she just hated it. Taylor does that spastic dance step (I guess it is like the clip where he looks like he is wetting his pants) . I hope they don't show it here. There is this dreamy commercial where this really hunky guy (a real hottie) moved a tree out of the road for his ex-girlfriend and her new man. But I agree that Chris doing the commercial would really be a trip.

Let's be real here guys!...We know now that Chris is way better off not being stuck with the AI contract. They will not control him and that's great. As for commercials Rob Thomas told Chris "Hey man you won't have to do any more commercials."

Knowing Chris wants to be an actor at sometime in his life, he probably loves the experience of doing any commercials.....unless they ask him to dance...lol!

As for Taylor: It's all Good for Chris!

Until the tour: Seeing Taylor reminds ppl of AI. Remembering AI reminds ppl of the shocker of Chris being voted off. Chris being voted off reminds ppl to ask what are his plans, which prompts his true fans to fill them in and give them stats about how his song was #43 on Billboard charts, about his recording with Live, etc, etc.....Chris, Chris, Chris....

So seeing Taylor causes Chris not to be forgotten....SO ITS ALL GOOD!!!!

I have a theory about the People mags. choice.... I don't know if anyone else has heard any rumors (just rumors) about Taylor being gay but I have heard it. Now I don't necessarily think it is true but by being People Magazine's bachelor wouldn't that help to dispel any more rumors? Maybe someone pulled a few strings. Also due to Chris getting so much attention they(AI) had to do something to try to sway the publicity toward Taylor. Don't get me wrong,I like Taylor,he seems like a real nice guy but it appears a little odd to me.

Hey, I agree with you all-- Ford and AI deserve Taylor: the commercial lacked energy, force, power--it, in plain American language, SUCKED!!! And, really, it would have gone against Chris' grain to have had to fulfill said contractual obligations. Just reinforces the good luck he had in NOT winning the damn competition.

And as for Taylor being on the cover of People: that is a JOKE. The only thing that makes Taylor hot is maybe the $! mil he now has as the big time AI winner. The way I look at People now is as a highly suspect and not to trusted publication. I'm almost sorry we wasted so much time and energy in trying to get Chris voted as their "sexiest man alive"-pooey on them.

Guess I have to say that I actually feel sorry for Taylor on that Ford commercial. I am guessing, not that I know, but I think he did the commercial in one take and Ford cut it up and mixed it up with the cars. All it seemed to do was make Taylor look like a fool. You really couldn't hear him sing, all you can see was those crazy gyrations of his. Actually, I thank the Good Lord that Chris didn't make that commercial, they would have broken up his performance just as they did Taylor's. By the way, what commercials did Chris do? I haven't seen any of them...have any of you?

As for the People magazine cover. A spokesperson for People said they chose him because he won the AI and he was in the news. That doesn't really say much for him does it. It doesn't say much for casting votes either, does it?

That commercial made me laugh...Taylor looks like he's having a 'fit' on that stage...his movements are so spastic...and you can't understand a word he is supposed to be singing...Glad our Chris didn't have to do that commercial...He is far too talented to do something so ridiculous...

As for PEOPLE...that is beyond explanation how they could put Taylor above Wenthworth...GAWD are they BLIND???
