Does anyone think IN a couple of years Chris won't be famous?

That is such NEGATIVE CRAP---your friends sound like cranks and I always try to stay away from cranks. . .

with all of his AI success and the support and help he is already receiving from such huge artists....i mean come on,rob thomas......i have no doubts about him making it to the grammys. when season 5 was like half way though and i started getting crazy about chris my friends told me too that "AI people" never make it...with the exception of the winners. but then when dead or alive and mystery came out and i made them listen to chris' genious......they were all crazy about his voice.
the only reason i believe people are agianst him is because he has a family......and he has had so much exposure..........but i believe nothing can nock him or his family down! us fans just have to stick with OUR TRUE AMERICAN IDOL-CHRIS DAUGHTRY!

heck no chris will always be famous even if he isnt which will never happen but even if he isnt he'll always be famous and great in my heart u shouldnt let others in forcin u 2 believe u wont be they're just jealous that he's so hott!!! and they cant even have him!!! haha!!! trust me my friends treat me the same way!!!

Chris has enormous support and most importantly he has come into contact with some of the most talented people like Rob Thomas and others and has been recognized as having amazing talent.

I agree with Tyra. No one this special has come along in a very long time. That's why the waiting is so frustrating. We want his music NOW.

as long as his HUGE fan base stays loyal and remembers him, he won't be leaving the picture ever! at first, my boyfriend liked taylor but then he was converted to chris about 1/4 into the season! and he doesn't even like rock! so honestly... there are plenty of ppl out there that dun like/watch AI (like me) but still LOVE HIM TO DEATH cuz he's so talented! and what ppl said in previous posts, someone this big that is so versatile and stays true to himself hasn't come along in awhile... music ain't what is was before... everything's starting to sound the same... but chris brings a whole new feel to the whole industry and so he'll be GREAT! (i think it worked in his benefit not having won AI cuz i agree, AI ppl usu. phase out...)

Chris is so incredibly talented and unique, and that's what distinguishes him from other contestents from every year of American Idol. I truly believe that he would have eventually been famous with or without American Idol because he's so tremendous. For that reason, I also think that his fame is not temporary--he'll just get more and more successful as time goes by.

i know chris will be famous b/c well look around there are 4.071.925 hits on this site as i post this and just say 1 million are repeat people well there is still over 3 million left ....................... so you know how we know he will be famous? because we are going to make him famous!

Just like Ellen said on her show when chris was on there....the one who wins american idol will be famous for winning american idol and maybe only for a short period....but chris ....chris will be famous forever because hes so amazing! I think what we mean is that Chris will have the 'Legend' kind of fame that Elvis had...let's face it Chris is a whole lot more wholesome than Elvis EVER was and is a down to earth kinda guy...Chris will star in movies, sing in concerts, sell millions of CD's like Elvis...that's the point...

Thank You. That is exactly what I meant. Elvis is known as the "KING" and whether people thought he was a great singer or not, it didn't matter. Look at his fame. I don't recall anyone ever coming close to that status, that is until Chris Daughtry. I truly believe that Chris will be in the same category (as far as fame and legend status) as the King. Chris is special in so many ways and has the total package. Rock on Chris!!

I agree 100%!! He got nothing but rave reviews from all the guests on the show (Tommy Mottola, Rod Stewart...), Fuel wanted him and Live recorded a song with him! I'd say that's proof positive that he is amazing and will outsell & outlast any past, present or future Idol.

ya chris will be HUGE!! i have just sent my very first fan letter and am going to my first concert. i thought about writing other people, but i didn't because chris has such a great effect on me i just feel the biggest need to do those things. no one is like him or can be like him and he will become big. we just need to keep on believing in him and support him and he will go far!!!

Let me say a hearty AMEN to your comments. I never really liked Elvis' music but I did respect the fact that others did and that he was a pioneer in the field of rock 'n roll. And now we have another such pioneer, and his name is Chris Daughtry. Chris is truly unique. He has the knack of making friends easily and in important circles and that will really help his career. I expect his name to be a household word from now on, just like Elvis. An unflawed Elvis, that is. I think Chris has too much intelligence to make the same mistakes that Elvis did.

There never has and never will be another AI contestant who will compare to Chris. He has the voice, the dedication, the charisma and the belief in himself that will carry him through a great, long-lasting career.
