biggrin.gif Have you ever been to that arena before for a concert? What section will you all be in? We found out they were going to be there 4 days after tickets went on sale, so our seats are not in the front sad.gif but....just being there with him performing and finally getting to hear his voice "Live" is exciting for me. I will be in my glory!! biggrin.gif

ROCK SENSATION DAUGHTRY
HITS THE BIG E COMCAST ARENA STAGE
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2007

After kick-starting his career before millions of television fans, Chris Daughtry and his band, DAUGHTRY, are turning the rock world upsidedown. They'll turn it up at The Big E Saturday, Sept. 15, on the Comcast Arena Stage at 8 p.m. Tickets are $38, go on sale Friday, May 18 and can be purchased online at www.thebige.com or at The Big E Box Office, 413-205-5109.

Chris Daughtry has proven himself as a modern rocker and after his high-profile blast onto the music scene, his first release with his band, DAUGHTRY went double-platinum and hit the #1 top selling spot in the country - twice. It has hovered in the Top 5 of the Billboard Top 200 Albums since its release and it is also the first rock band release in nearly 20 years - since Bon Jovi's 1988 classic New Jersey - to move into the top spot after debuting below #1.

Emboldened by a collection of arena-tempered anthems and hand-crafted gems, Chris formed a band around the foundry of songs that make up DAUGHTRY before any of the accolades rolled in, hitting the road almost on instinct - eager to share his hardscrabble journey - his emotional diary of sorts, with who else but his fans.

The celebrated release has leaped more milestones faster and further than any rock debut in recent memory. Daughtry has almost single-handedly given the genre back its heart, resurrecting an endangered species. Led by Daughtry on vocals, the band includes Josh Paul, bass; Joey Barnes, drums; Brian Craddock, guitar and Josh Steely, guitar. He is the most successful new rock & roll singer and according to Soundscan, an information system the tracks sales of music and music video products in the U.S. and Canada, DAUGHTRY will be the biggest album seller of 2007.

His meteoric rise masks a long run as an amateur musician, composing songs since he was a teen. A native of North Carolina, he began singing in local rock bands and composing music when he was 16-years-old. Daughtry wrote "Home" and collaborated to pen "What I Want," "It's Not Over," "There and Back Again" and "All These Lives" for the debut album.

Daughtry did what others could not deliver - succeed as a rock singer - even after narrowly missing a chance at stardom. He signed with 19 Entertainment Group and RCA Records in July 2006 and DAUGHTRY was released in November that same year.

It's evident that Chris Daughtry possesses a durable songwriting presence.

All tickets purchased in advance of the date include admission to The Big E. Coliseum Box Office hours are Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 2007 Big E takes place September 14-30 in West Springfield, Mass. Information on this and all Big E entertainment is available at www.thebige.com.
